Unknown path

It's 15 mins more before we talk.

I have no idea of what's in store for me. For us.

Maybe it has been so long we've been apart, that everything seems so dreary.

Maybe it is now time for some good adjustments.

4 months of your absence. It hurts really bad.

And now that we need to settle stuff, i only wish they are for the best.

Anyway, no matter what lies ahead, thank you for everything.

Take care my dear.

I love you.

Back to school

School has been GREAT for the past 1 week! Just a short period of time and i'm starting to visualize the stress mountain ahead of me.

This term will be a 4 day week: Mon, Tues and Thurs and Fri. So far, lessons have been pretty interactive and easy to understand... with the exception of 1 class where my dear new prof reads from the book. Her logic is that if she does so, she will not miss out anything. Sigh. I think i'm so dead.

My time table is as follows...
Mon: 0830-1145: Computer as an Analysis Tool
Tues: 1200-1515: Networking
Thurs: 0830-1145: Software Engineering
Fri: 0830-1145: Managerial Accounting

Anyway, school aside. I have been offered to work at the school's computer helpdesk!!! Grin:) This is like a path i never dreamt i would be into(my friends would all know). Well, it all started out where all smu students got to configure their laptops into the new network at this room called the PC clinic. So i went to do up my configuration and accompany my dear cake who was working there at the same time. As time passed by, i realised that people started asking me how to register and the procedures. haha. So that was the start of my working days. I'm now working at the PC clinic, of which will end this week. And next, i'll be working at the permanent school helpdesk, where people will come with computer problems of various sizes. Oh well, i really hope that i'll be able to solve all you guys' IT worries!!

Now, i'm helping out in a bash planning committee too. Cos the committee were mainly from my school (school of information systems), it was made out of all guys, except maybe for me and 2 other girl. So mostly what we did were to oppose the ideas when it became to skewed to a guy party. Haha. Quite fun being the representatives of the girl population in smu.

I'm confirm gonna have a fabulous busy term ahead. Looking forward to it!!

Great friends and an Awesome party!

'It's the last week of holidays!' was the reason why i left home to go mohammed sultan with gracia and min. At first i didn't think much of it.. But i guess great company can really change one's mindset. Thank you guys!!!

Darling gracia, min and my new-found friend shane made things all hyped out and really unregretable. First stop was newsroom bar, followed by cheeky monkeys, then zouk. The night was just full of fun and drinks. Thanks to the awfully good drinkers, min and shane, i tried many drinks for the first time. Min is totally great with her drinks!!! She just goes on and on... i think ladies night is meant for her.

Zouk was fanatically fun with blarring mambo music, familiar faces and hilarious dance moves. A pity that min left us early... the three of us went slightly mad following the classic movements. There were so many people around us, but i think we didn't really care much, we were just in a world of our own. Having happy fun and a totally carefree moment.

You guys have been the heart of a great night party. Love you all!

Farewell my dearest Helen

Farewell Helen

Helen, the caretaker of my house for 14 long years.
Since i started schooling, you became my alarm clock, cook and friend.
Without you, i wouldn't have enjoyed my home-cooked chicken rice and laksa.
Not forgetting soya bean milk, fish head curry and nasi lemak. *yum yum*
Or the simple delights of filippino deserts like my fav sweet rice thing.
Now that you are 1 street away, how much i miss you:(

Gone are the times when you would watch Korean shows with me and ask me what's happening.
Or times when an advertisement brings a smile to me, but thundering laughter from you.
Plus moments when i couldn't even hear the tv cos you were shouting on the phone.
Total silence is what fills the house today.
I miss that same noise which i used to complain about.

Though i hate to see you leave, there's nothing much i can really do.
I hope you are happy in your new place, and that the 2 rabbits there keep you company.
I will drop you a msg or pop by whenever i am free ya.
We all love and will miss you dearly.
Thank you for everything, Helen.

Aftermath
Now everyone has different roles. I am assigned to be the so very important rice cooker and letter box opener. And papa is the ironing man!!!!

Anyway, mom really proved to me how tough it was to be without Helen in the house. She took leave on Tuesday (day after Helen left), and started getting busy with the household chores. From sweeping the floor to washing the clothes, preparing lunch and vacumming, she did not take a single break.

After vacumming the floor, she continued to mop the floor. Then later, i heard lots of laughter and screams of my name. Why?
Cos thanks to her, the mop became a midget:(

Good job mom!! and NO, she didn't just stop there.. She carried on tirelessly.

Don't take it too hard on yourself, mama dear. It isn't a bad change. It's just something that needs time to adapt to. I'm sure we will definitely be able to get through this as a family.

Tim and the Chocolate Factory

Today was a day full of happy fun and good food.

Lunch was definitely Seafood platter at Fish & Co's with my male food buddy, TIM!!!! We had been planning this lunch for quite some time already, and today was just the day cos he took some leave from army.

After that, we bought tickets for Charlie and the Chocolate factory:)Haha i insisted on watching that show. *grin*. All that colours and chocolate seemed so happy! And it definitely proved me right. Though tim thought it was quite morbid, I still love it.. and Willy Wonka is COOL!! Love his hair!

Next, was a treat from me: East-side brownie from Cafe Cartel. A simply must-try delectable delight! *calling out to Graciaaaa*

Herbie is next on my movie list.

Taiti's not my cup of tea

Discovering a submerged kopitiam under the school when we went to school last Fri was the thing that made shupin and i happy from attending a boring IS talk.

Stupid me. Pretty shupz. Extra ron's hp.

Thank goodness the talk ended exactly 2 hours later, and i headed off to spend some time with mom who took leave. Spent lots of time chatting with her. I seem to be able to tell her everything now. From family matters to relationships. No barrier between us. She's the best!

Went down to the performing arts centre at telok ayer for my routine dance class later. Gracia and i learnt waltz and one whole dance movement. I thought it was thoroughly enjoyable. This teacher makes dance seem really fun. At first i thought it was going to be really tough and i was not going to like it cos she seemed slightly fast-paced and rough. But in the end, it was not to be. I kinda prefer her to si-ling now. But too bad, this was to be her last lesson with us.

Next, gracia and i headed down to holland v. As she ate alot previously the night before, she was determined not to be daunted by the breeko's oreo cheese cake(she claimed to be the best). But luckily, that cake was nowhere to be seen when we were there. So i ordered a double choc brownie and she ordered a ice fruit tea with NO syrup:( what perfect imbalance. Later, we decided to gamble with her poker cards, and the punishment was to be her drink, cos it ended up blandly healthy. I tell you guys.. Gracia's one tai-ti queen! i think she won me 6-2. With all that pleasant smile on her face, i'm warning you, let it NOT fool you over!! *shucks* I should have known:(

Sunkissed by Orientation

Undaunted by 1 weather forecast that stated cloudy, and another, thunderstorm... all of us (freshies and community peeps) flooded the happy Sentosa buses for our orientation event last Sat.

At first, i was worried that things would not turn up as expected.. that i wouldn't be able to make my freshies perked up and involved. Oh well, all those worrying was seriously just on my part. The minute they met, all the chatting erupted. And for once, i felt age coming up. One year ago, i was being introduced to the school, and now, the introduction of SMU and SIS came from me myself.

The sun at Sentosa was actually perfect for everyone to be beautifully sunkissed.. complete with the sea and sand that the event promised.

A total of 6 games were being played. The last one being the most hands-on... a sandcastle building competition, where some of the most amazing 'castles' were created. I think these people will score an A plus plus for creative thinking. Just look at them!

Castle that will make girls blush. Pretty boys.

SMU Castle complete with back door but no exit.

Intricately crafted Castle. Beautiful.

Sand Toilet Bowl. Perfected with Plastic Flush.

My group's sexy-ugly-scary-C-cup mermaid, moulded with her sea friends.

My team: 7 guys and a girl. What can i say. The guys sure argueued over their knowledge of cups. C-cup. Perfectly moulded after 30 mins.

Thank you people:) You guys sure made this orientation mean more than just the sand, sea and sun. See you in school!!
